Valor Christian School Announces Expansion
Beginning this fall, Valor Christian School will be expanding to offer grades 7 through 12. Originally founded in 2023 as a high school with grades 9 and 10, Valor has since grown quickly, adding one additional grade each year. After finding broad support in the community for its rigorous academics and Christian approach, the school is now adding grades covering middle-school.
Speaking about the expansion, Board President Luke Patterson said, “There has been tremendous excitement in the community about the possibility of our adding grades 7 and 8. Many parents have expressed a strong desire for our robust Christian education to be offered to their middle-schoolers as well. I’m happy to announce that starting this fall, we will be expanding to include these grades.”
According to Patterson, this expansion is occurring amidst a widespread shift regarding the perception of education in America. “Many parents across the country have begun to realize the need for a rigorous education which has a truly moral foundation. Without being anchored to a transcendent source of morality, education will always be co-opted by various interests, inevitably pushed around by the culture. I think the average parent is waking up to the fact that they want something better for their child, an education with a deeper foundation and a higher aim.”
“At Valor, we believe strongly that Christ and His Word are the only firm foundation for knowledge and wisdom. Biblical truth provides the means by which our students can form a truly coherent understanding of reality as well as a standard to which they can grow their character”, Patterson said.
Patterson went on to explain, “To that end, we are focused on nurturing a spirit of inquiry in our students, encouraging them to pursue knowledge and wisdom in all areas, whether history, science, mathematics, the arts and so on.“

Located in the heart of Sandpoint, at 201 North Division Ave, Valor Christian School is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year.
